Defence & Electro-Optics

Electro-optics engineered as complete systems.

HMDs, sights, surveillance and thermal imaging live or die on the interplay of optics and mechanics. We design them together — with the stray-light discipline that separates lab demos from fieldable hardware.

Capabilities

From symbology to sensor

  • Head-mounted & helmet displays — visor projection, combiners, pupil and eyebox engineering
  • Combiner optics — co-designed with the projection path, not bolted on after
  • Sights and observation systems — day optics, reticle projection, boresight stability
  • Thermal & multi-band imaging — lens selection and custom design for LWIR/MWIR/SWIR
  • Surveillance optics — IR-confocal day/night lenses, flare and veiling-glare control
  • Ruggedization — tolerance and athermalization budgets for shock, vibration and temperature

FAQ

Defence optics questions

How do you handle classified or export-controlled programs?

Indian defence programs are delivered by our India entity within Indian regulations, including DRDO-ecosystem work. For US clients we currently take commercial, non-ITAR programs; anything involving controlled technical data needs a compliance review first. We'll tell you plainly what we can and can't accept.

Can you work as a subcontractor to a prime?

Yes — we regularly slot in as the optical design authority under a prime or system integrator, delivering to their documentation and review standards (PDR/CDR artifacts, ICDs, test plans).

Do you design for manufacturability in low-volume defence quantities?

That's the default. Defence volumes rarely amortize exotic tooling, so we bias toward provable tolerances, catalog materials and processes your vendor base can hold — with cost-performance trades documented for the program office.

Electro-optics on your program's critical path?

Start with a feasibility study or an independent design review — fixed scope, fast, and written for your review board.
